Holts Riverside Chippy has been providing locals with their favourite ‘chippy tea’ for two decades now. Situated close by the River Irwell in Stoneclough, it’s open Tuesday to Saturday right through from 11.30am until 7pm (3pm Saturdays).  There is lots of choice too: as well as the standard fish (all gluten-free), chips, sausages and pies there are kebabs, burgers, chicken, jacket potatoes, gluten-free dishes and some great home-made specials including chilli, lasagne, cottage pie, chicken curry and beer braised steak. They also have home-made cakes such as brownies, cheesecakes and apple pie with custard.
