About Hotel Du Vin and Bistro

Located close to the centre of the historic North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate, the Hotel Du Vin & Bistro overlooks, The Stray, a 200-acre common, created in 1778 by an act of Parliament and containing many of Harrogate's famous mineral springs. Occupying a row of eight Georgian-styled houses, the Hotel comprises 48 bedrooms and magnificent airy loft suites, featuring pristine beds of luxurious Egyptian Linen, Monsoon showers, stylish furnishings and unique décor. It is also home to the trademark French-styled bistro serving classic dishes with a modern edge, unsurpassed wine cellars and eclectic furnishings. The bistro is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner offering 'simple classics' that change seasonally along with a selection of daily specials, all supporting their philosophy of using the finest and freshest local produce, cooked simply, priced sensibly.

The wine menu is awesome (with a name like Hotel du Vin one would expect so!) and the food is thoroughly enjoyable. The waiters and sommelier are very knowledgeable and the ambience has a buzz about it that only the clientele can create. I would happily recommend HdV but be careful because it? not cheap, though not extortionate

The bistro is an absolutely lovely setting for an evening out. The food was excellent, (especially the monkfish with crushed new potatoes) the service was spot on and the wine list is out of this world. Without doubt the best place I?e eaten in Harrogate
