We recently visited India Lodge and were met by friendly staff and a pleasant ambience. The chicken tikka ordered . was a main was very under seasoned and extremely dry .I did address this whilst my guest ordered a rogan josh. The rogan josh had lamb underneath with the tomato and onion sauce on top. This again was unseasoned without excellent Indian flavours and unfortunately tasted more like Dormio..I came to the conclusion that although the restaurant is nice the let down was in our main courses. It even crossed my mind the the customers may prefer or not actually know what a true Indian tastes like.I will say the rice was lovely and so too was the nan bread. Will I return...unfortunately not and it`s on my doorstep.

We recently visited the place they call Indian Lounge. At first things weren't so bad just a normal restaurant but after a while we found out that they use the same gravy for all their curries and just add chicken or lamb to the sauce. They have mislead us by saying they take such care preparing our food.
Lofty
many people think India lounge is an excellent Indian restaurant well i was very disappointed. four of us went in for a meal and were seated in the window which with their table layout we found very restricted ,having people practically eating off your table. I could write a lot more of our experience there but don't have the time, just to say if you would like to enjoy a GOOD indian restaurant then try THE BLUE LAGOON in Evesham .( now that is a good place to eat)

We went to the india lounge for the first time recently, and i have to say the food was excellent! Definitely the best Indian cuisine that i have tasted! the service is also very good . the place has the atmosphere of an upmarket restaurant instead of the average Indian restaurant. Loved it!

We have been regulars at the India Lounge since it opened and can thoroughly recommend it. The food is excellent and it's clear that quality ingredients are used and careful thought and preparation goes into producing the dishes. Service is friendly and attentive and the decor is contemporary and tasteful. In our view the best Indian restaurant in Cheltenham.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel extremely welcome. Contemporary decor, nice and light.
Today we had poppadoms with pickles, chutney and mint yoghurt to start. Ordered chicken dhansak, pathila raj, pilau rice and naan bread for the two of us. Absolutely superb food. Other customers seemed equally impressed with their food. Without hesitation I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, you will not be disappointed.
Try their other restaurant too, Indian Brasserie; again, you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant is recently opened, and we were very impressed with the contemporary decor, the delicious food and attentive service. A bit more expensive than average, but worth it - lovely. Its definitely on our list for a return visit.
