Well well well where do I start ? I’ve been going Indish for the best part of 5 years and class it as one of my ‘banker’ restaurants I.e. It never fails to deliver fresh quality tasting food.
We got a couple of popadoms and the usual dips whilst waiting and the red onions were warm and dry and tasted stale like they were old I instantly knew something is wrong.
Then my mixed grill starter came and it tasted like it had been microwaved I’m pretty sure it must have been the chicken and lamb were tough and dry and the sheesh kebab was like rubber, if that wasn’t bad enough my lamb chop was inexcusable as the bone at the bottom still had 2inch of gristle running all the way up to the meat at the top and was dry and disgusting I couldn’t believe I was in the same/usual restaurant it was that bad. I ordered keema rice and and chicken chilli masala main and again it was dreadful seriously I’m not overplaying this something’s gone drastically wrong in this place. The keema rice had no taste let alone taste bad it just simply tasted of nothing I’m still in shock. To top it off my partner had her usual Penacolada cocktail and that wasn’t right even after they tried to make it twice. The bar area clearly looked unorganised.
After our meal the guy from reception asked us if everything was alright and I told him everything I’ve written here and he said he’d sort us out next time. No good mate £50 meal that was left and horrible from start to finish is somewhere I will never go again I’m just hoping I don’t get poorly. Like the headline says BEWARE this is no longer the Indish I knew and loved !!
I asked if it was under new management but they assure me it wasn’t so I’m mystified as to what’s happened to the quality and standards.

Gone downhill
Placed our first takeaway away order over a year ago and it was excellent. Sadly, over the last four/five months, standards have certainly slipped i.e. the quality of the chicken pieces less tender these days. Also experienced a problem every time in recent months with the packaging of said takeaway...each time we have unpacked our order at least one curry lid has collapsed thereby necessitating the wiping down of all the dishes before can even think of serving. Thought we had found an excellent Indian restaurant but, unfortunately, our search must continue once again.

We have been visiting this place for years as a couple or with large parties with our family and friends. We have noticed a lot of new staff and a staggering drop in customer care and service standard on our recent few visits. We can say we will not be returning after our last visit as our table was booked for 7.30 last night (7th October) for our friends surprise 50th by his lovely wife. On arrival we were greeted nicely and to take a seat at the bar, get a drink till our remaining party arrived. We were supposed to have been seated at a nicely decorated table of balloons and party things and on his arrival our friend would have been nicely surprised by us all sat there. That's the first mistake. When our friend arrived his lovely wife who booked the table went to book us in only to be told there was no booking, luckily for us she was speaking to the actual waiter who took her booking. Apologise profusely and proceeded to go to the restaurant to get us a table. On finding us a table, not waiting long we were told a table was ready but no decorations on it which our friend had dropped off earlier to be arranged. So having to wait till that was done by the wife and not the staff as arranged, we were then was seated. That was the second mistake. We were offered popadoms yum yum they came quickly and were enjoyed thank you. A long time passed till our order was taken but eventually a waiter came and took our order. Only 2 starters were asked for and it was mentioned that the starters could come with the mains but in no time at all the starters came but no mains. 3rd mistake. I had to stack the plates and trays from the popadoms as no one was clearing our table of them or empty glasses. 4th mistake. We then waited and waited and waited and guess what waited some more. After an hour we asked what the problem was and with no apology what so ever were told our order would be another 5/10 minutes as they had a very large table that had a massive order that they were just finishing off. And we waited and waited and yes waited some more.5th mistake. The table at the side of us which was a bit bigger had waited and waited and waited too. Half of their party left and eventually they all left and went to McDonald's next door. We spoke to a gentleman on reception who apologised, who spoke to the floor manager in the reastaurant and still we waited and waited. Waiters walking passed us with lots of food but non for us. 6th mistake. We left out table asked for our friends surprise cake and proceeded to the bar where we were offered a free drink as an apology, half of us not drinking as we were driving and they lit the sparklers on the cake. Thanks for that. We left after 3hours having had popadoms and nothing else. So my husband and I and im sure the party we were with will not be going there again or recommending it to anyone. It was just a good job the company we were in was lovely otherwise the evening would have been a total wash out !!!! Never again!!

The hi lights:Stylish decor A large bar area Singer Busy but well organised Super service and friendly staff (we even got a rose each!) The food came out at a good pace A good selection of food The food was 'nice' The lo lights: The car park is very small and there's restricted parking outside. I was told I could park in one of the shop car parks nearby but didn't because I didn't know whether I'd face any consequences eg be locked in! In summary id go back to Indish and I'd recommend it because it's well organised and you can have a drink in the bar area after your meal too...

One of the best Indian restaurants in greater Manchester. Very clean. Attentive staff. Great food. Highly recommended

Some friends offered to take myself and my wife for a birthday meal and they chose the Indish as they live nearby but had not eaten there.
They tried to reserve a table for four on Saturday the 5th of February but apparently reservations are only taken for parties of eight or more. The phone contact advised there should be no problem and to just let the reception know on arrival.
When we arrived, the reception and bar area was heaving with people, including two parties of approximately thirty! Not a good start we thought! However, after about a fifteen minute wait we were shown to table the table towards the rear (of a really massive) restaurant area.
The service was really excellent, friendly but polite. The courses arrived with little or no delay and quality of the food was first class. It was probably the best Indian Restaurant we've experienced.
This a really a class act to serve so many people with quality and style and would recommend it wholeheartedly. We will certainly go back when in the area.

We have been 3 times in a month. I must say every visit it exceeded our expectation last visit on bank holiday Monday. 12 of us arrived at 6pm for a late birthday celebration. Did not book so told 15/20 minutes wait, got shown through after 10 minutes, poppadums arrived in seconds. Orders taken as soon as we we decided, main courses served within 15/20 minutes, we all ordered individually and everything was absolutely spot on. Been related to high end catering for over 20 years myself I was very impressed to see how well choreographed the staff was on a packed floor. And my sister got a cake with a sparkler for birthday which I thought was a really nice touch. The fact that it's always busy says a lot about it. Consistently exceptional service and quality food. Will definitely be back again soon and recommend friends and family.

Terrible customer care manager is totally out of his depth. Definitley should take a step down, rude arrogant. Spent £330 for a party of 13 and he with held £15 of our £80 deposit because 3 didn't turn up. So there was not tip but the attitude was totally disgusting. He said if you don't like it don't come again. Well I definitley won't be and neither will my family.
