Eggs Benedict and a coffee for breakfast on a dank and dismal Monday morning in December. Cheered me up and was very tasty in very nice surroundings.

Perfect vegaterian breakfast (large) enjoed at Java with friends on a beautiful staurday morning (8th Sept 12) sitting outside in the sun. Being a big Man utd fan it was even better when Ryan Giggs sat down to eat on the table next to me and my friends. Java is a great place to eat and the food was scrumptious.

Java serves over priced non edible so called food in a tiny pit.
We took visitors to Java recently and experienced the worst customer service possible, firstly being seated 4 people to a table set for 2 in front of the bar where customers continued to push past us. We then had to wait 45mins for our food to arrive which was over cooked and minimal. The chicken was rock hard and the salad consisted of nothing but lettuce leaves with the kids pizza like rubber and not even cut. They didn't provide a children's menu so therefore had to order off the main menu which was overpriced for a child's portion. When we tried to explain or dissatisfaction the staff did not seem interested. During or wait for food we witnessed staff making numerous mistakes with food and beverage orders to other tables. I will never be back in Java again and highly recommend no one else goes if they expect standard customer service with appetising food.

Whatever you want, you can get at java.Just a coffee, no problem. But I recommend that you try the food. We've been at all times of day. My favourite breakfast is smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on brown. Lunch is great whatever you choose and the soups are fantastic .Do yourself a favour and finish off with banoffee pie! Delicious!

April 22nd.
Just called at Java and sat outside. Was told they would be out shortly to take our order. 55 mins later a waitress appeared and promptly ignored us taking an order from a table where she had seen them JUST sit down. Did she take orders for the other tables NO.. She came out again and did the same. I went in to complain and was told "She did not care as they were doing their best". Well their best is NOT good enough. In fact the service has never been good.. now it's appallingly bad. That waitress (an older lady) should think about changing jobs as she's is useless and rude. AVOID this place like the plague.

If you’re looking for a late night drink or a coffee in relaxed surroundings and don’t fancy a pub or club, this is the place for you. Felt like somewhere on the Continent.

Lovely little bistro/cafe, ate on my own whilst away with work, felt comfortable as a woman on my own, had seafood platter (£8.95) that was gorgeous and easily as good as I've had in far more expensive. great home made cakes for pudding and lovely coffee.

The food is excellent with a wide variety of dishes of a Mediterranean influence and very reasonably priced. I had the Christmas menu which was extremely good value at £14.95 for 3 courses. The ambience is unique, very continental and relaxed with no pressure to rush which is a nice change!

Enjoyed 2 evenings at Java. The house beefburger was very good as was the location in the heart of Lytham. The lemon and cream tart rounded things off nicely. A great meeting place.
