This is one of my favourite restaurants. The Sunday Banquet is Ideal for family get-togethers and fantastic value. The a la carte is fantastic no matter what you choose. I've worked in the Far East and eaten in all sorts of restaurants over there, Jitrada has always been and is still authentic; I say this in the knowledge that it is now run by non Thai owners. I've been twice in the last three weeks and it was brilliant.
Annoyed.
£1.80 for a half pint of orange cordial - 3 drinks £4.80 for the cordials = what a rip off - when I mentioned this the guy shrugged his shoulders = £1.80

The starter was very good but both of our main courses although pleasant were far more Chinese tasting than Thai. I was told by the head waiter that it was no longer owned by the original Thai owners but now owned by a Chinese family. So if you like Chinese food more than Thai it has a good menu choice.

I have eaten here twice in the last few weeks and had a take away, food is excellent, so nice to have good food at a restaurant not in the city center!!

Ate here with eleven people between Christmas and New Year. Everybody, including myself, thought the food was top notch. I didn't have any myself but, the seabass seemed to be the most popular dish. I had the Vegetable Samosas and the Green Curry and they were both superb. Will definitely visit again soon.

We visit the Jitrada on a fairly regular basis (from Rochdale) and are never disappointed. We take our two children (ages 2 and 12) and they really enjoy the food and the ambiance. My little one especially likes crossing the bridge and looking at the fish! The food is always delicious and the staff always friendly and attentive. Now that it is no smoking, it is even nicer! Recommended.

Have ate here several times with family and not been disappointed at any of our visits. Generally have mixed starter - ribs are to die for!! All our varied main courses have been excellent. All the staff are lovely, especially with our younger child, they really cant do enough for you. Surroundings are nice and the entrance is a bridge over a fish pond - lovely and authentic. Went last saturday there again this weekend its sooo good! This restaurant is a credit to thai cuisine - enjoy!

Having read fantastic reviews on a number of sites we got the tram last Friday to try this restaurant. How dissappointing. The service was pushy and rushed (we sat, ordered, ate and had the bill within 60 mins). The first time the waiter came over we asked for some more time, 2 mins later a waitress came over, agian we asked for more time, less than 5 mins later we gave up reading the extensive menu and aksed for a recommendation. She pointed to the mixed starter - we chose option B. I don't think it could have been worse if they tried - a plate of deep fried samosas, spring roles etc that were heavy, greasy and didn't taste fresh at all. Our bottle of wine arrived - luke warm - when we pointed this out it was put in a cooler with ice and water which as we all know takes ages to cool down - we ended up drinking the wine warm. Less than 10 mins after the starters left out mains arrived, the phad thai and green curry were good but the beef muslim curry was dissapointing - but the aftertaste of the starters still lingered.... All and all not a great expereince - maybe it was an off night. If you really like Thai try the Dee Thai in Hale - it's the same price (if not marginally cheaper), serves really fresh tasting thai food, excellent wine (even by the glass) does an express £8.50 lunch and in my humble opinion is fantastic.
