I agree with all the positive comments made about the Khan Saab. I cook a lot of Indian food myself, usually to a much higher standard than most Indian restaurants, so I am very critical and particular. I am always very happy with the food from the Khan Saab, take away or eating in. It is cooked to a high standard and I am always satisfied when I have finished one of their meals. I would go as far as to say this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester. I have eaten a lot along the famed Curry Mile in Rusholme, and around Manchester but have not found a restaurant that I would rate so highly. I would recommend the Khan Saab to anyone.

Having relocated to the area from Scotland (we have the best curries in Scotland), I struggled to find a decent curry house. The Khan Saab is by far the best out of the 30 or so that I tried. Great food at great prices. I regularly have the Korma or the Tikka Sizzling Dish, my hubby has the Karahi. All delicious. Take out or sit in, it always top class.

This is by far the best restaurant I have been to for a very long time. The food is excellent and i recommend the famous chicken chili. The staff are very friendly and i enjoyed the time i was there.

This is most likely the best Indian restaurant in Manchester. Food and service both are excellent totally exceeded my expectations. Very surprised.

Went just before xmas. Restaurant nearly empty, but we waited an hour and a half before giving up on ever getting our main courses.
Staff were *spectacularly* rude about it, when we finally attracted their attention. A truly awful experience.

Not very impressed with the food quality, I thought I saw a cockroach go under the table but thought I had a bit to much to drink until I searched google and found the following:-health inspectors discovered cockroaches crawling on the restaurant bar, kitchen equipment and in a packet of poppadums.
Live and dead cockroaches were also found in the cellar of the Khan Saab Restaurant on Bury New Road, Whitefield and on food packaging, freezer tops and preparation surfaces.
The infestation was discovered when a council health official dropped in to book a routine inspection at the restaurant.
The inspector was stunned to see the insects - carriers of diseases including salmonella - scuttling along the bar.
He also spotted a pest control firm sweeping up large numbers of cockroaches.
A further inspection revealed even more cockroaches, prompting them to close down the restaurant.
Officers also noted poor conditions in the premises - such as the build up of grease and debris under work surfaces and damaged flooring - which they believed were likely to encourage the breeding and or presence of cockroaches.
The council won full approval for its action in closing the Khan Saab from Bury magistrates and was awarded court costs of £632.
Neither of the restaurant's proprietors, Saleem Baria and Mona Maqbool, attended the hearing and they did not contest the council's case.
The Khan Saab was able to reopen for business following extermination work.
Council's food safety manager, Steve Hoyle, who was among those inspecting the restaurant said: "There was a heavy infestation of cockroaches and we had no hesitation in ordering its immediate closure to protect public health.
"Thankfully, conditions like we discovered are rare but we hope that this court case sends out a strong message to other food businesses across the borough that we will act immediately and strongly in the interest of public safety when we discover that businesses have not kept their premises to scratch.
"The public are entitled to feel confident when they go to a restaurant or other food outlet that it is properly run and they are not running the risk of food poisoning."
