Known locally as ‘The Billy', this friendly pub is positioned in the heart of Glastonbury in the market place. The characterful black and white building has lots of fresh flowers in hanging baskets and some outside seating. Inside there is a main bar and dining area, to the rear an old fashioned Skittle Alley, pool room and a walled sun-trap beer garden for al fresco dining. They have the Cask Marque and offer Butcombe and Guest Ales, Fosters and Kronie, Stowford Press and Addlestones cider, Guinness and John Smiths Smooth. Food-wise they serve breakfasts, bar snacks like organic baguettes, jackets and pizzas, a separate children's menu and a 'Best of British' selection with locally sourced pub classics. There is also a 'Happy Cactus' Tex Mex menu offering Nachos, Burritos and Fajitas. The Sunday Carvery is very popular offering two meats and one vegetarian roasts. Live music on Saturdays always attracts a crowd and a good atmosphere.
