About Kings Arms

The Kings Arms is an imposing three-storey townhouse in the centre of the pretty market town of Ulverston on the southern edge of the Lake District. There’s a large bar, a restaurant area, a cosy snug and a large courtyard and beer garden with lots of original Victorian features, open fires and stunning interior décor. Thai Head Chef Bea Grice has run her own restaurants for 20 years and has put together a varied food offering ranging from authentic Thai cuisine to handmade stone-baked pizzas and traditional British dishes. And the food is complemented by a comprehensive drinks selection including cocktails, wines, fizz, ales, lagers and craft beers. If you fancy an overnight stay, the Kings Arms also has two doubles, a twin and a large dormitory room that's popular with walkers and cyclists.

Great food and good service.

Nice pub and ok atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon. Didn't want a big stodgy meal so opted for a chicken Caesar salad, just as well I didn't want a big meal as this had about 10 baby gem leaves a few slithers of parmesan cheese, 8 small pieces of chicken and 6 croutons. For the price pretty shocking.

Came to eat with a group of old college friends. We all had a variety of Thai, pie and curry....everyone of us were really impressed with how delicious the food was, great portion size and fantastic value for money. The staff were friendly and goof fun to chat to aswel. We absolutely will be back again soon. Thankyouuuuuuuu :)

The food was great! The staff were lovely. The starters were full of flavour and had a good amount to them. The Thai chilli sauce had a good balance of sweetness and spiciness. The mains were thoroughly enjoyed by all for both the English pub mains and Thai food. The only downside we had was a very rowdy group of people who fortunately left part way through the meal

What a wonderful Thai. I have eaten here on 4-5 occasions over the last 4 months and each time our entire party has marvelled at the quality of the food. Simply lovely.
