We must write again to recommend this restaurant as a new chef is in residence and he IS the best in town. Authentic Italian cuisine cooked by an Italian chef....SUPERB. The service remains second to none, the atmosphere is relaxed and the prices are very good.
Lunch time menu is excellent and you can eat beautiful food in a restaurant for cafe prices and evenings the menu is extensive. It really is an experience not to be missed. We simply cannot recommend it highly enough.Exceptional!

Since discovering this restaurant in Abergavenny we have not gone anywhere else because the food is simply superb, the chef must be the best in town. The service is exceptional, friendly and unobtrusive. An experience not to be missed. Lunch or evening tit is a wonderful place to dine, a little bit of Italy in the centre of Abergavenny. We would highly recommend it to anyone, children are treated wonderfully well, a rarity in itself in most British restaurants. Buon Appetito! 12/09/08

What a fabulous place to eat and enjoy top quality food and really fantastic service to match.
The menu is always interesting and totally fresh and organic.
The restaurant before was terrible with a horrible reputation but now the new owner and managers have really transformed it into a highly recommended and lovely place to eat and drink with all the attributes that one expects in such a great location and setting.
Truly recommended for families, parties or just a small social outing.

We have twice had lunch here with friends once on a Saturday and once on a Sunday. The food was fantastic and we loved the place, but it was completely deserted on both occasions, which was slightly weird. Failed to understand this. Would recommend it highly.

A party of us ate here last night, and even the most reticent non-foodies had to admit that it was quite outstanding. The setting, staff, talent, inspiration and hard work were a delight to experience. Children were catered for effortlessly. An exquisite menu, including Braised Oxtail, the memory of which will linger long, and a Hot Chocolate Fondant dessert, the stuff of which dreams are made. Congratulations to Justin, Kate, Claire, Cyril and Christophe. If you're looking for a special evening out and don't want the fuss of travelling to and from a large city, then head for Abergavenny. This town, much to many people's surprise, is more than 'markets and mountains'. At present it houses a gem of a restaurant. Hurry and try it.
