A group of 12 of us visited and none of us were greatly impressed. The tagines appear to be meat ( either chicken or lamb) over which a sauce has been thrown and then the subsequent mix poured into a crock pot. No evidence whatsoever of meat being cooked in the sauce or the sauce in the tagine. Similarly the Cous cous Maison was a dollop of plain Cous cous with some merguez and grilled chicken thrown on top and an asparagus or two slung to the side. I thought cooking was all about letting flavours flow and contrast and all those other things. This was Moroccan fast food and pretty unimpressive it was too. There must be better places that serve better Moroccan food.

Went on a saturday night, thoroughly enjoyed the food but the evening was spoilt by rude bad mannered staff. They continually told us to leave by 9.30pm as there was another sitting. They were moving chairs and tables around us whilst we were eating. Spent £80.00 on our meal refused to leave a tip.

Sorry to go against other reviews but, food was tasteless, portions small, mezza was especially poor value. To round it off waiting staff just plain rude i.e moving tables around you while you are still eating. Won't be going back!

Really enjoyed our evening. It's lovely to find somewhere that serves such different food

I wanted to go somewhere different for my birthday and was recommended La Fibule. I loved it here! Excellent service with friendly and helpful staff and the food was wonderful! It was so fresh and everything tasted so good! I can't wait to eat here again!

I am a huge fan of this Moroccan restaurant. The food is superb, and there is the added benefit of being able to take your own alcohol.
There are two sittings - 7pm and 9.30pm - be warned, they get busy so do book in advance!

i love the restaurant and would recommend it to any fan of good food, However, make sure you know how to use sign language, as some members of the staff do not speak English :p

Went to La Fibule for the first time 18 months ago and then took friends regularly fab atmosphere and wonderful food and staff - had a 3 month break. Went again this week menu has changed to accommodate anglo taste I think - but still very good - really sorry that they no longer do the shoulder of lamb for 2. But a great meal and super ambience Snoggie - Solihull

My friends and I visited La Fibule after recommendations on this website. Thank you! We had a fantastic night out. Due to being busy, the earliest booking we could get on a Saturday night was 9.30pm. We got moved tables twice but ended up at the top of the restaurant at the low tables. We all loved these tables, but they may prove problematic for tall people. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. So much so that it took us until 10.30pm to get our food. It was worth the wait - delicious. The meat was tender with fabulous flavours and the vegetarian option was cooked perfectly. Our side orders came out at different times but this meant we could enjoy it as it came along. We also waited quite a while for our after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the mint tea. We finally finished around 12.30. Go and sample La Fibule - but make sure you have a whole evening free to truly relax and enjoy the meal and atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant ! Great food served by happy team of people -- intimate and quite a find really -- don't miss the Moroccan Mint Tea after your meal :-) Bring own alcohol and enjoy fab lamb, chicken or fish / seafood dishes served as a Tagine dish or a typical Moroccan meal with taste in abundance !
