We have just had an evening at La Rocca in Chorley. As a party of 10 and a toddler. We had booked for an eighteenth birthday celebration. At 7:30 prompt we were seated and our drinks order taken. We were very happy with the service and with the exceptional food. I had the FEGATINI ALLA BOSCAIOLA,(omnomnom) followed by a risotto not shown on the menu (Yumnomnom)Spicy sausage, tomato & Salami. You get a healthy portion of everything, , so don't let the price list put you off .It looks pricey..but its not. The quality is ^up^ there, plus its friendly & Good portions. Well done La Rocca , we will definitely be returning and recommend this establishment to all our associates."

Their slogan is the best pizza this side of Italy - and they are not wrong. Delicious pizzas and garlic bread every time ( i am a regular!). My favourite starter is the stuffed mushrooms, and they make yummy home made ice cream. They have an outstanding value offer on through the week for 3 courses, (£10.95!) which allows you to try most things on the menu. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere and always leave planning my next visit!

We've just ordered a takeaway from La Rocca and, upon opening one of the cartons, found that the contents were badly burnt making the dish (mushrooms) inedible. When my wife rang up to complain, she was passed onto the "chef" who proceeded to question the validity of our complaint and demanded that we provide evidence. Remarkable, considering that the "chef" in question put the mushrooms in the carton only 20 minutes before and really should have known better. Why we would take the time to fabricate a complaint about a dish that cost £4.50 is difficult to comprehend. Of course, they had our money by this time and clearly didn't care about customer satisfaction.
Suffice to say, we won't be returning to the culinary delights of La Rocca and their rude & incompetent "chef". Avoid.

We eat out regularly at this restaurant. It has excellent food, excellent staff and is a lovely place to visit. It has an atmosphere which makes you fell welcome whether you are popping in after work or dining out in style, a remarkable achievement. My friends travel to Chorley from Eccles (24 miles) to eat here with us!!!!

We tasted La Rocca pizzas once and since then can't imagine buying anyone else's. We wouldn't even think about having a change of venue. The pizzas are simply sublime.... Arturo is a genius when it comes to pizzas and his Pollo alla Crema is extremely addictive served with steamed broccolli, carrots and Italian style roasted baby potatoes in rosemary. Our daughter is stuck between her two favourites - Spaghetti alla Carbonara or the handmade Tortellini alla Crema. And as for the ice creams - obviously homemade to a high standard, creamy and luxurious and the flavours change frequently. The sorbets are also wonderful but a sorbet is still a sorbet in the end and not a custard/cream based ice cream so choose thoughtfully. If we can't make it in we order and collect. We wish them every success and hope that they will continue to do what they do best and that is bring a taste and feel of Italy to Chorley.

i have been a customer of la rocca since it opened approx 5 years, since sampling their pizzas i have refused to eat anyone else's pizza as they wont live up to how good la roccas are, the bases are lovely and thin and seem authentic and handmade, the tomato sauce is delicious and toppings are generous.
I can also the garlic breads which are also divine.
I have eaten inside several times with my family and obviously the food is magnificent and service is good. i have found the management friendly and helpful and there is a strong family atmosphere (it seems the manager/head chef is from Italy and the lady who runs front of house is English and his wife)
There are very good offers at the moment (3 courses for a tenner) which is good but obviously a beer/bottle of wine bumps the price up.
This place SHOULD be renowned throughout chorley as the best Italian in the area but because of its tucked away location people are unaware of it or how good it is. I urge u to try this place if you enjoy fine authentic Italian food at reasonable prices
