In one word. SHOCKING. having visited the restaurant on Saturday 4th August 2012. We booked a table four 4 adults 2 children and high chair. The staff were very accommodating so I thought this is a good place to eat with friendly staff. We ordered a round of drinks which came promptly and the evening started great. How wrong I was. We ordered 3 starters of which only two arrived. When we finished out starters the waitress decided to put down the hot main plates without clearing any of the starter plates and cutlery. It took approx 10 minutes for the main courses to arrive so the hot plates were now cold. Out of the 5 main dishes 3 only arrived. One which was for the kids so they tucked in. We literally waited ages for the other mains by which time the origin al two mains were now cold. When I asked the waitress that we are two mains cold she said they are on the way. This did not happen and another 5-10 minutes had now lapsed so i went to the waitress and saiid were are my missing mains. She chased this up and 1 main arrived, so I asked were the veg curry with no chestnuts was. She didn't know so they cooked a fresh one WITH CHESTNUTS. We sent this back to be replaced. Which they did and I can only describe it as a a bowl of soya sauce with veg. IT WAS DISGUSTING. We finally got a fresh veg curry and ate our disgusting cold meal. I went to pay the bill and how surprising the boy was adding the full bill without realising that this was the worst experience ever in a restaurant. The acting manager or so seemed to be want to be in charge apologised but with no meaning. In other words didn't give a tosd. I shouldn't have paid anything but I still paid £70 inc drinks. I've left them
My business card as maybe they may learn what hospitality is all about. In a nutshell this is the worst restaurant ever run by staff who have not got a clue. They need to visit my website www.frontlinehospitalitymanagement.co.uk and see exactly what I do and why.

I am a regular customer at the Laughing Buddha in Rhyl and would recommend this chinese to any one. The food is out of this world and the staff there are all very friendly and provided an excellent service. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. The comment above from moo98 suggesting that the plates and glasses are dirty is utter nonsense. u should b ashamed of yourself. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives in north Wales or who is visiting on holiday. Well done to the Laughing Buddha!!!

We ate at this restaurant last week as I was suffering with my back and couldn't face standing to cook tea. Even though the restaurant was very busy catering for Christmas parties they found a table for us and I have to say both the food and the service were exceptional - even to the point of the manager ( a charming lady) guiding me whilst I reversed out of the car park as I had been boxed in. We will definitely be dining there again. BZ from Thelma, Lizzie and Katy :)

We stayed recently in Rhyl for a few days and the highlight of our stay was a meal at the laughing buddha. The service was attentive and friendly. They have an open kitchen - very reassuring. The food was the best we have ever tasted - we had the £18.50 banquet - gosh it was a lot of food and we couldnt finish it all however they even offered to pack it up to take away even the desserts we hadn't got room for. The spare ribs are to die for -

Ate in the laughing buddha whilst on holiday in wales. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was without a doubt the best Chinese we have ever had.
