We visited the Laughing Monk in Strete on July 2nd 2008, Lunch was absolutely mouth watering. The Scallops were cooked to perfection on a bed of salad with Chefs home made dressing, and avocado/ horseradish puree. The Bakewell Tart and cream dessert was most traditional, as the owners Ben And Jackie worked in the Cavendish Hotel near to Bakewell in Derbyshire.
The Menu at The Laughing Monk specialises in seafood which is all sourced Locally, as are the Vegetables and Meat.
We recommend a visit to this lovely Restaurant and enjoy the friendly atmosphere .
