As a group touring curry houses in Yorkshire we have discovered this jewel of India. The food has the best taste to date and all the staff are very welcoming. We will return again soon.

A fantastic choice of traditional and mainstream Indian dishes. Warm, comfortable environment with an outstanding decor to match. Superb staff provide an excellent knowledge of food and the vegetarian selection is second to none. Well worth a visit, ten out of ten.

Appalled by the attitude of staff and will never visit again. Went there on a recommendation from a work colleague and with great expectations but no table reservation - was rudely told that there were no tables available for another 45 minutes. A number of tables were patently empty. The arrogance and body language was striking and we (total 3 guests) were made to feel that we were intruders rather than guests/customers and in no small measure humiliated. Appalling and a utter disgrace to indian hospitality. I write as a british indian.

We eat out all the time and rarely get a bad meal; this was quite an experience... No STOP, I mean BAD experience! The Starter was microwave to death, rock hard kebabs! The main was so sweet I thought I was eating desert! We sent all the food back without eating and the so called chef accused us of being after a freebie when we complained!!! Freebie, surely we would have eaten it if we were after a freebie? Very bad attitude and we were made to PAY I’m utterly discussed!

If you would like a night of being ripped off and laughed at then you should visit. My local kebab shop serves better and more honest meals than the pretentious, stuck up, out of a jar laxmi farce of a restaurant.

Always a good meal here, and great choice for vegetarians. The meals aren't as traditional as you would get at many Indian restaurants, and I would say they are on the mild side. A great place to take a mate who isn't a curry fan... this will win them over!

The Laxmi is by far the BEST Indian Restaurant I have ever visited, over the years I visited many. We always come back. The variety of dishes is amazing. You also get what you pay for, and plenty left over to take home. When you are in the area you must visit The Laxmi, proper indian food. Keep up the good work Chanda.

One of the very few truly Indian restaurants in Yorkshire and it really is home Indian cooking. An enjoyable experience every time.

A very pleasant dining experience. Nice to find an Indian restaurant of this quality out of town and, in our case, close to home. Being vegetarians we were surprised by the excellent choice of veg. dishes. Certainly a cut above many Indian restaurants in the area
