We came upon L'Estaminet by chance on Saturday around 6.30 p.m. and chose it because it looked a little bit 'upmarket' and very smart.
We were not disappointed with the ambience or food. They have the choice of a set menu of 2 or three courses with coffee for £16.50 (3 courses) or the a la carte which we chose from.
We had plenty of time, but it's really the place to take your time, not if you are in a hurry. However, a couple near us were in a hurry to get to the theatre and the restaurant were very obliging by making sure they had their meal in time.
Service was very pleasant and polite and we ate everything - delicious!
