Hidden away beneath 1761 on Booth Street in Manchester, Lily's Bar is a place to step back in time where cyanide sparkles, penicillin is dispensed and champagne is encouraged - or just come to see the fish! Every item of furniture in Lily's Bar has been hand made in the northwest by Company No 9 (creating four new jobs for young apprentices) and supporting local businesses is at the core of what Lily’s Bar and sister venue 1761 Restaurant do. The 1761 menu is seasonal, using only the freshest ingredients, and a snack menu is served in Lily’s Bar, including fresh oysters three different ways. Lily's cocktails are inspired by historic events - try The Noble Experiment, harking back to prohibition and disguised like you are still in it, or the Camphore Cure, inspired by the early form of penicillin, which is served in a medicine bottle with a syringe of goodness you can add in yourself. For private parties, check out their secret drinking den, The Library, which can seat up to 25. Lily’s is open daily from 5pm to midnight with full table service.
