Had a Fantastic evening at Lings on Kings. Can highly recommend the special buffet! Every dish was delicious and well prepared. Treated like old friends by the manageress. When the crispy duck and pancakes were served the freshly roasted duck was cut at our table, a very nice touch which we have never seen at a Chinese restaurant before. Towards the end of the evening my Mum accidentally spilled a glass of Red wine and the manageress kindly offered to have the affected top washed that evening to try and make sure that the wine did not stain it, giving her a brand new t-shirt to wear in its place for the rest of the night, and when my Mum collected it the following night it was like new - wonderful example of service going that extra mile. Thank you for giving our family a lovely evening

We have been going to a Chinese every week for a long time, but not any more it is Lings on Kings from now on .I would recommend going to Lings, the selection of food was the best that we have ever had. the crispy duck and the toffee apple is very hard to beat. can not wait to go again.

My husband Mal and myself visited Lings on Kings last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and are we pleased we did ! What fantastic food, probably the best Chinese food we have tasted. The ambience was great and Ling herself is so charming and friendly. Although it was a Monday night and we thought it may be quiet we were surprised to see the ground floor of the restaurant (which is on two floors) almost full., and what a lovely evening we had. he service was second to none, the food absolutely fantastic. I could not comment on one particular dish being better than another because it was all gorgeous. The service could not be faulted and we shall definitely be going to Lings again. Thank you Ling for such a lovely and memorable evening - it was great to meet you.

My family had a lovely meal here on Sunday evening. We decided to book at Lings after reading the excellent reviews on Sugarvine we booked a table for 7 people plus a baby and had the £8.95 banquet. It was excellent food and great value, the owner was very friendly and made us all feel very welcome.Only down side as there was no disabled toilet for my Gran, this would not put us off going again though as thanks to the hotel round the corner, Gran was able to use their loo!
Would definately recommend this for anyone looking for an excellent meal in a good cnetral location in Southport.

I met the head chef two weeks ago in a super bar called The Inn Beer shop. Thus Norma and I visited Lings last week. Our meal was superb. So much so we re-visited last night( Monday). Once again the food was of a very high standard. The restaurant is immaculate and I liked the ' ambience' very much. Lings will be a regular ' eating place for us from now onwards. We chatted to Ling ( owner) and she is a lovely person. We share a love of cats.
Do visit Lings the food will not disappoint you. John

I recently stayed in Southport for three nights and went to Lings on Kings. The food and service was fantastic and I mean fantastic! The spare ribs were the best I have ever had; I just wish the Chinese restaurant where we live was as good.
We had a good selection of food and there was not one dish which was not liked. I would recommend the crispy chicken Peking style which was sensational and to finish off with, try the sticky toffee bananas - wow!
Having gone on our first night staying in Southport, we decided to go back on the third and last night and we were not disappointed.
I could not recommend enough.

Have been going to lings for as long as i can remember, recently celebrated my engagement party there it was amazing. Everybody loved the food and we had the best night. Never had a bad meal from lings. Chinese new year is a must! x
