Food good, sweet portion a bit on the small side, Very restricted car parking. Had to get the OK to park the car at the pub opposite. I suggested that this should be on their website, but I was told there had been no problems before. I had pranged my car getting out of a tight situation looking for a their car park

The food was excellent, good choice on the menu and well cooked so compliments to the chef. However, the restaurant is let down by the waitress who is not welcoming or friendly and the bland boring decor.
I would recommend that if you are booking for a Christmas meal you check beforehand to make sure it is on offer because we were told on 1st December that they had not started the set menu even though on their Christmas leaflet it states that the Christmas menu is available from Tuesday 30th November. We were not offered a 3 course meal off the ordinary menu for the price of £24.95 as an alternative even though our booking was made weeks ago,

Visited Longfellows last night for an anniversary meal and was delighted with the experience. Welcome was friendly, service prompt and attentive. Food was flavoursome well presented and good sized portions. Price was slightly more than your average out of town restaurant but then quality and fresh cooked meals are. Will definitely go again.

Visited Longfellows two months back, from entering to leaving everything was just great. Will be going back before Christmas and then hope to find time to pay regular visits.

A warm, friendly welcome with fantastic customer service. Always great, tasty food served piping hot - just they way we like it. Would definitely recommend. We have been many times and it has consistently exceeded our expectations.
Longfellows
What a disappointment. After reading the reviews I decided to take my girlfriend there for her birthday. When I walked in I felt like a had walked back into the 1970's with the most hideous decor and complete lack of any ambience.
For starters my girlfriend had prawns in garlic butter and I had chilli meatballs. The garlic butter sauce was so strong and greasy that it made your stomach turn. The meatballs were tough and I thought I would have some bread to help it go down. The bread had obviously been cut and left out all evening as it was so dry and tough. That was enough for us. We didn't wait around for the main course. After telling the owner of our disappointment she was most put out and said this had never happened before. With the standard of food I find that difficult to believe.
After being charged for just the drinks we ran across the road to the Boat for some good solid pub grub.
