Dave
Back again - the only place in town I could get a last minute reservation at for Valentines (booked on the day and they weren't even full that night, which is crazy!), and I? sure this is due to the woeful reservation system which usually involves leaving a message on a machine, unless you're lucky. On to the meal: Food was of a very good standard with some flare, and well priced. Service efficient and polite - but not polished. The underground dining means atmosphere is slightly strange, it's a little bit intimidating when you walk in. But if you don't go your missing out on one of Hope St's decent restaurants. Phoning at lunch time seems to yield better reservation results!

Booked here a little last minute, and was really pleased to get a table. Most of the diners tend to be pre-theatre so from concert start time its fairly empty - ridiculous when you consider the quality of the food, service and location! We had the 3 course with coffee menu - all excellent. It's a disgrace that this place isn't more full. They do close up quite early (wouldn't recommend eating after about 8.00pm) but this shouldn't be an issue. Really good selection of wine (not massive, but well priced and most importantly excellent quality). Will be going again.
