Knutsford’s Mae Gaew Thai Restaurant opened at the beginning of 2007 and quickly built up a reputation for serving authentic Thai cuisine in modern and upmarket surroundings. There are lots of special offers – including a Sunday buffet – and a takeaway service at 15% off the menu price. Mae Gaew is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week (1pm to 9.30pm Sundays) and is also great for parties and special events. They can organize classical Thai dancing or a performance from the Elvis fanatic Crazy Wendy – from sister restaurant Crazy Wendys in West Didsbury – who will belt out classics from Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and The King himself. There is also an outside catering service which operates from a mobile kitchen and offers competitive rates for all kinds of occasion. Chiangmai in Crewe and Wendys Thai Fusion in Chorlton are also sister venues.
this was recommended by someone we spoke to in a Knutsford car park , we had been to the Tatton Park flower show and were unfamiliar with the area, and needed to eat! This restaurant ticked every box. The staff were great, lots of smiles, the service was great, the interior was fascinating to look at , and best of all the food was tremendous!! I don't usually get into reviews but this was one I couldn't pass by. We live in Northumberland by the way but already I have passed on details of Mae Gaew -- just in case anyone is passing --- . A five star experience!

Lovely food in a setting that evokes a real feeling of Thailand. The food was delicious, especially the succulent satay, which is well worth a try as a starter. Attentive service with a friendly smile. Definitely worth a trip while in Knutsford.
