This is a truly stunning brasserie, bar and hotel. Once a Victorian prison, it's been converted into a lavish, glamorous, hotel, which is a truly special place to stay in. Here you can sample tasty, beautifully presented cuisine prepared with local ingredients and served up with genuine passion, whether you're looking for the best place to savour business lunches, a quick light healthy bite, or dinner. The brasserie not only offers the most delicious of food, but seductively lit by candles, it is the perfect atmosphere to wine and dine for both pleasure and business. For large events such as cocktail receptions, parties or weddings The Visitors Room is ideal for up to 100 people. Featuring high ceilings, comfy lounge-style seating, a Champagne bar and plasma screen TV, it's a unique location in a truly unique building. If you'd prefer a more intimate dining experience visit The Private Dining Room, a sumptuous and cosy cell, capable of holding up to 10 people in custody for dining engagements. There are a further 4 cells capable of seating up to 35 people for all your dining needs. Malmaison Brasserie is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
This was a complete disappointment. The food was less than average for the price. Pasta dishes were tasteless and the manager wasn't particularly interested in happy customers! Only saving grace was the waitress who was lovely! Don't waste your money, there are loads of better places to eat in Oxford - wish I'd gone to Bill's!
