MAUREENS great food!!! Maureens catered for my daughters wedding this weekend, we had a marquee and 60 guests, many had not tried jerk chicken before! it was fantastic everyone enjoyed it, we wanted something a little different and Maureens gave us that, maureen herself is a lovely lady and a pleasure to deal with.... best jerk chicken around!!!! My friends and I have travelled from Hull to Leeds on many many occasions only to eat at this Restaurant. The food is fantastic. The portion sizes are enormous and the service excellent. We have always got chatting to the customers in there as well. Very friendly place. A real gem of a place!

EXCELLENT FOOD!! I have tried a few Caribbean takeaways in Leeds and i have to say Maureens is by far the best in terms of food AND customer service. The food is brilliant, I have tried a variety of their food and i have to say it is really hard to have a favourite as it is all fantastic!! Not only is the food fantastic but the workers are fast and professional and some of the friendliest customer service people i have known. They are always pleased to help you if your stuck for choice and it is always a nice atmosphere. It is good value for your money as i ordered a large meal and it was enough to fill me up and take the rest home. Also Maureens homemade puddings are THE BEST! I would recommend anyone to visit Maureens!

I have visited Maureens West Indian and taken a few people there for something to eat. Fabulous food and customer care is good. I recommend the breakfast with Ackee and Saltfish. These people can cook I have also had their patties whether they make them there or not the fact is it all tastes really good. I like the open plan style of cooking you get to see whats going on and you also tend to order additional food as the different smells take over the diner. I strongly recommend this restaurant and would take anyone there for authentic Caribbean cuisine. The juices and the cakes are also spectacular. Well done to Maureen and her staff for this marvellous experience.

I have enjoyed many meals at Maureen's and keep going back for the fine home cooking in all the dishes. My favourite is the ackee and salt fish. Whether for eat-in or take-away, this is a place to frequent when you feel like some sound Caribbean food.
