As a Blackpool hotelier this is the Chinese I recommend to tourists wanting a Chinese meal in the town.

On these recommendations we dined at the Mandarin. Good looking restaurant and good food.

Great birthday meal last night at the Mandarin. Fillet steak Cantonese style, amazing!

I hadn't eaten at Micheal Wan's Mandarin since I was a kid. My mother used to take me after school every week. It is still going and has been serving great Chinese food since 1968. It has recently been modernised giving it an authentic period Chinese feel, which is upmarket with a kind of modern slant using a vibrant colour scheme. Sevice was friendly and professional. I rarely eat Chinese food however I enjoyed all the dishes we shared, particulaly the prawn Szechuan and crispy duck. It was my mothers birthday and the restaurant provided appropriate table decorations and a cake I didn't request. A nice touch that was appreciated. We will return and recommend it.

I recommend the Mandarin. The beef curry was gorgeous...

Quite simply the best Chinese restaurant in Blackpool in my opinion providing somewhere sophisticated to eat in the resort.

We tried Mandarin (take away option) for the first time this Valentines Day...we were not disappointed. I think you will find the quality of the food hard to beat in this area. The delivery was swift, the food piping hot and fresh,a generous portion size with lots of fresh ingredients ...would highly recommend to anyone and we will most certainly be visiting the restaurant in the future.

Best Wonton Soup I've ever had! I could eat bucketfuls of the stuff!
The lunch menu between 12pm-2pm is fantastic value at 5.60 for 2 course, or 6.60 for 3 courses.
The beef in blackbean sauce is highly recommended
