We tried this restaurant because of the Monday to Friday early bird deal and knowing We state my wife was not too hopeful. It was brilliant! The meal for 2 starters. main courses, nan and chips was £15. The meat was chicken breast not cheaper cuts and the sauces full of flavour and just the right heat. The nan was a talking point as lads on the next table took photos as a family nan was the width of the table but it was light, fluffy and loaded with garlic not like some. Well worth trying and they are setting up a delivery service as well. Brilliant

Quite clearly the worst restaurant i have ever been to. However, not quite as bad as the take away we had from the Red Chilli in Wakefield a few weeks ago - the meat in the lamb curry had fur on!!!!! Hardly lamb... The service was slow and un-coordinated - simply dire... (2 hours from starter to main) The food was well below average - hence the offer of a 50% off food voucher at then end of the meal - if you dare return!!!!. The coconut rice was boiled basmati rice with a sprinkiling of desicated coconut!!!! Fantastic! my 9 year old could have made a better attempt. The general cleanliness of the place was poor. There appears to be no door policy, later in the evening when we where about to leave a number of drunk loutish groups arrived. On the plus side the website looks great - fur coat no knickers!!! If you fancy a good curry go round the corner to bollywood lounge - really good.

I just visited this restaurant with a group of friend. All I wanna say is that the place is fantastically done out, the service was great but the food was the BEST and great value for money! I've eaten in alot of Indian restaurants all over Bradford etc. and I have to say this one takes the cake! I was told that the owners have been running a small restaurant in bradford for over 30 years and chose Wakefield to launch this new brand....thanks guys - Wakefield has needed a good Indian for ages! lol

I went with work colleagues to Mumbai for a Christmas do. The restaurant does look very nice. However, this is very much a victory of style over substance as the food was no better than mediocre and the service was nothing short of appalling. I'll mention the food first. We had opted for the most pricey set menu which came with a glass of bubbly on arrival. The starters were quite good. However, rather sneakily, we were asked if we required poppadoms and pickle which we did not discover until later were actually not included. This did explain how the bill was higher than it should have been. The main courses were passable, by which I mean no better than you would expect at any half-decent Indian restaurant, though they were rather oily which is a negative point. Also, some of out party said they found some dishes weren't very warm. Now onto the major bone of contention, the service. We were in the restaurant four hours for a three course meal, and had to remind the waiting staff that we had paid for desserts (since they had even gone to the extent of giving the bill after the main course). Of the desserts, all of the Indian specialities were unavailable, and I was told that, despite listing around 20 flavours, there was no ice cream left. This was despite the fact that the chocolate fudge cake for some of our party had arrived with vanilla ice cream. I did suspect that staff may not have wanted to serve any more puddings as they wanted to go home, but then again we wouldn't have been there at 11:30 if they had been a bit more spritely. True, a large group is more difficult to cater for than, for example, a couple, and allowance should be made for this. However, even taking this into account, the poor showing I have described above was simply unacceptable. In all, the dining experience was very poor and I would have trouble recommending this restaurant to all but my very worst enemies
Peter.
I visited the Mubia indian restaurant in Wakefield during December with my business associate. We were made very welcome, the food was excellent and authentic and was the best Indian food i have ever tasted. Waiters were knowledgeable, friendly and polite, the restaurants decor is outstanding and the washrooms faultless. I strongly recommend the Mumbai, it is well worth going out of your way to visit this superb establishment.

My friend and i visited this restaurant after work on Monday evening for a bit of a girly dinner, and we were really pleasantly surprised!! Mumbai is a visually stunning restaurant, with an interesting tempting menu. To be honest i wasn't expecting much from the food - in the past I've been let down by Indian restaurants that look and speak the part, but don't taste it. Mumbia is a different story though. Every dish that i had was stunning quality - everything from the dips with the poppadoms to the house special tikka had obviously been prepared with quality in mind. My main course was the best indian course i've ever had, and i live in leeds where there is plenty of choice. The spices were so beautifully and carefully blended, and the taste built up slowly and interestingly thoughout the meal. Often with indian food i get bored after the first 2 spoonfuls but this was delightful. I tried my friends dish and this was the same too. My friend commented on how many interesting vegetarian dishes there were, which sometimes lack in indian restaurants. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and the staff are very friendly. I felt so comfortable in the restaurant, despite being sat in the middle of the room (which i usually hate). It was no problem here though, as the place has been carefully designed. Mumbai comes across to me as a very high quality restaurant. It could easily be the best i've been to, and wouldn't be out of place in London or Leeds or Manchester. I will definitely be making an effort to come again, and i wish the owners all the best. There aren't enough restaurants that concentrate on quality around here! Keep it up.
