Fantastic food and atmosphere.Even changed the table arrangement for us so we could sit closer together and hold hands! Only downfall was one of the staff(the oldest one) suggesting that we sit on each others laps..how rude!!!!!

Have had a few takeaways from Mumbai Spice and never been disappointed. They are very busy though, so call early for a delivery or you could have a long wait.

Food is good, as is the decor and the staff. Shame the same can't be said of the manager. I've eaten there several times before Monday and mentioned to the staff the need for food heaters on the tables. When I politely suggested it to the manager he responded with "if you don't like it don't bother coming again". My son, girlfriend and myself were astonished at his extremely arrogant and rude manner and we will certainly not be patronising this establishment again. We live within walking distance so it's a shame but we would NOT recommend this restaurant to others unless they enjoy abuse. One to avoid.

I have had several takeaways and a fabulous Birthday meal here. A welcoming, friendly staff, attentive service and a good choice of tasty, vegetarian meals. It is well worth a visit.

Just found this place. Used to be a popular pub about 15 years ago but wow it's like a London brasserie now. Modern look, bright and crisp. Food's great too. Nice to see some off-piste dishes as well as the usual things. My girlfriend had the murgh chambala where the heat of the chillis - it's hot! - is offset by molasses. Loved the grilled fennel seeds on top, too. It gave a really nutty texture. I had the Gosht Arbi, lamb with colocasia roots, whatever they are, and a touch of vanilla. Slightly off the wall but the best cooking around, I'd say.

Great new restaurant. The old pub has been stripped out and remade for the 21st century. Clean lines and contemporary furniture greet you and the menu is up to the moment, too. We liked the chicken haandi and gosht bindi but the stars were the achar chamak salar, a curry of roots flavoured with asafoetida, and gosht masca malabar, a lamb dish featuring macerated pears, diced turnip and caraway seeds. Sounds strange but it was pulled together by the warm tow of ginger.
