We love the Newfield Inn!! It's a great little pub, good honest food (the lasagna is gorgeous) a really nice atmosphere and a warm cosy fire. If you like walking this is the pub to relax in with a pint afterwards. It's our new regular.

After a walk and a drive discovering the beauty of the Duddon Valley Near Broughton in Furness, we drove past the Newfield Inn and decided to have lunch there. The Pub is a classic Cumbrian hostelry deep in the countryside and a real fell walker and cyclist haven. We had Cumberland sausage and the lasagne which were both excellent. Was particularly impressed with the lasagne, soft delicate and tasty mincemeat, unlike the usual chunky pub attempts and many italian restaurants to be fair. Would like to try again and have a few beers by the fire!

Very good for lunch time meal, nice walks nearby to work of those extra calories. Also they do an excellent steak for that special evening meal, a bit far to travel but well worth it. Very nice real ales.
