About No. 4 Dine and Wine

Tucked away down the only remaining cobbled street in Didsbury village is No.4 Dine and Wine, which since opening in November 2005 had become a popular destination for local diners and visitors. It's owned and run by Paul and Nina Burton who still play a role in the day to day running of the restaurant -- Paul in the kitchen and Nina to offer you a friendly welcome. Food is modern English with influences from around the world. Everything is homemade including bread each morning and the very popular chocolate truffles served with coffee. Menus are seasonal with a la carte menus available Tuesday – Saturday. Brunch and a set price lunch menu including roast beef available on Sundays.

I took my mother here recently for her birthday on the special 3-course deal. We had the most wonderful evening and the food was very tasty. I have lived around Didsbury all my life and never ventured down the cobbles but now I wish I had! The staff were lovely, the chef's very professional in their open kitchen and the restaurant itself was a lovely little hidden gem! I have family visiting me very soon and I can't wait to show them this place. Well done No.4!

A hidden gem in Didsbury! I have eaten here on many occasions with/without children, as a couple, and in large groups and the food never fails to impress - even my very fussy father! Lunch potions are quite large and desserts are to die for ! Love being able to see into the kitchens. The wait staff are also very polite and efficient without being obtrusive overall an excellent, reasonably priced, quite dining experience - highly recommended!

The superb quality has never dipped in dozens of visits. Brilliant value. Utterly reliable. But don't tell anyone else - we don't want it to be packed out!

My husband and I went for Sunday Lunch. We didn't want three courses so opted for just a main course. The chicken was delicious and the vegetables hot and not overcooked. We both had a glass of wine which was also not over priced. We will visit again.

We ate at No 4 Dine & Wine a few weeks ago, had a great meal with great service, nice quiet location, good for drinks before or after in Didsbury. Over time I hope they ditch the floor tiles and kitchen tables but to be honest we went for the food not the decor, looking forward to going back.
