Really loved Obsession this year at Northcote. A must event if you are seriously interested in Gourmet fine dining!

My wife and I were invited to a function in Northcote's new private dining suite. Everything was spot on, efficient service, quality food and a real luxurious location. We also were lucky enough to have a tour of the stunning new kitchen complete with a chefs table with video link. Highly recommended.

I wanted somewhere special to celebrate Valentines and our 5th anniversary. I contacted Sugarvine who recommended Northcote for my requirements. I am very glad they did. We had a wonderful time and everything was first class and I would recommend it to anyone else for that special occasion. It's pricey, however I expected that and was prepared. Thanks Ed.

Went in June for a birthday . Food was absolutely devine but with small fine dining portions, not for everyone as I could have ate everything again.
Didn't like the fact were we made to feel a little out of place that we didn't want to drink wine at 1-30 in the afternoon. Maybe in the evening but just fancied a Peroni .
Would go back but maybe in the evening.

Food, sensational. Price, you get what you pay for. Ambience? A delight. Staff, excellent. Somelier extremely good, hugely knowledgeable. They can't get better can they?

By far and away the best restaurant in the North West of England. The food is excellent and well worth the undoubted expense. Although the service is of a high quality it lacks a genuine warmth and can feel a little stuffy. The overall experience cannot be beaten. A special place for special occasions.

the food is to die for as good as it gets apart from maybe the desserts not quite up to the michelin starred rating but everything else just stunning.the only ting that lets it down is the stuffy service & snobby customers. you can get just as good food at ramsons in ramsbottom without the over the top service & snobby customers and also unlike northcote the desserts are the same standard as the other courses

Went to Northcote recently and I am sorry to say my friend and I were rather disappointed, we had been to Kenny Atkinson at the Orangary at Rockliffe Hall and were blown away by the complex flavours and were looking forward to a Michelin star meal to beat this. But....whilst the presentation was second to none the flavours just weren't there with almost all the courses, no 'Oh wow' punches in your mouth...enticing you to try different combinations of flavours of what was on the plate as we had done at Kenny's place....it was....well...nice. Such a shame the food didn't quite get there for us but the staff were attentive and helpful and we had a lovely evening.

I Love, Love, Love this place. 2 of us went for Saturday lunch taking advantage of the £5 off voucher and a flawless lunch was had. Service was tip top, the asst sommelier made a couple of great choices for me. I started off as I always start off with the signature blackpudding, trout with a mustard nettle sauce, Mum had the parsnip soup which was also a winner. The bread is fantastic and never ending. Main course we both had the loin of veal with swede, spinach, shallots and Jus. The veal being tender and tasty. Finally we opted for the apple trifle and roasted pears with rice pudding. A resounding success. See you on Boxing day.

Stayed here again on Sunday for the gourmet night. Amazing Food, Amazing Service, Amazing Place. Nigel & Craig have this place spot on.
