About Northern Ivy Cafe

Husband-and-wife team John and Kelly Oakley have fulfilled a lifelong ambition opening the Northern Ivy café at Smithills in Bolton at the end of 2022. The smart new venue promises a cosy and intimate feel, delicious food and a warm welcome and is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch Tuesday to Sunday. The vibrant interior has been designed from scratch with artworks adorning the walls and plenty of space between tables making it easily accessible for wheelchair users. Alongside the main menu there are daily specials and you can also grab and go.

Lovely place food was excellent staff amazing. Really nice vibe . Nothing seemed to much trouble. Very relaxed atmosphere . Went for lunch which was excellent. However going to try breakfast next time as it looked amazing

Been here a few times for breakfast and the service and food is always top quality. Now they have been granted a licence, we’re hoping to visit for lunch or dinner if it opens later in the day.

Had a fabulous breakfast last week with my family. But also had a fantastic baby shower today too, the staff, food and who experience was fantastic. The owners were so easy to talk to and made everything perfect. Loved the delicious food and would defo book again for future events or just go for lunch/breakfast. All top notch quality and service.
