Booked a table for 14 but on arrival staff not ready, seemed very overworked trying to do the impossible. Atmosphere a bit tense as we sat down as table not ready. Was asked to go back down the steps

First visit after many recommendations, food was amazing, service very good. The salt & pepper squid was great and home made pie worth a try. Will be back to try the steaks !

what a great place to eat 6adults for a birthday meal made to feel very welcome by the staff the food is of the highest quality the steaks are unreal you do not need a knife only a fork to cut them such good quality is the food no need to travel to Leeds or other surrounding areas for a great meal

the food is fantastic, we had fish cakes and calamari to start they were homemade and really fresh you could tell, then we had sirloin which they bring to to table and let you slice it off i had 12.8oz it came with homemade chips hm onion rings and all the bits so GOOD, my husband had a 1.5kilo barnsley chop with mint gravy WOW. Its a must go sample the staff are very helpful. the owner brendan is always working and will help with any questions

The restaurant (just by J38 M1) has just re-opened (6/12/08). We were the first customers. Excellent food, well presented. Chef is Chris from Raymond Blanc's "The Restaurant" on BBC.
