we have just returned from our holiday to Port Issac and on our first night the Old School House was recommended to us by one of the local B&B owners. The owners and staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed but professional. The meal was fantastic we would certainly recommend the scallops !! Exceptional. In comparison we ate at Rick Steins Cafe a few days later and in all honesty the food served at the School Restaurant was of a much better standard for taste, presentation and value - we will definitely be eating there again - Excellent Restaurant.

we visited the old schoolhouse for my others birthday. the menu was mainly local seafood and was extremely good, but there was a small selection of local meats such as cornish lamb which one of our guests had. the restaurant is small but very well organised the bar and waiting staff were extremely attentive and helpful, we ate our frst course on their lovely patio, and found the whole experience very relaxing and the food superb. this restaurant is not cheap but definitely worth the cost.... Go and try it.
