Absolutely top notch. Set price menu was very good as good in fact as the Arkle but cheaper. Very pleasant surroundings and staff.

A fantastic night that exceeded our expectation in every way. A friend who had eaten at the restaurant recently recommended us but even their praise about both the food and the service could not prepare us for such a wonderful and enjoyable experience. The 7-course meal may sound a lot but the new chef, as our kind young host explained, has recently joined the kitchen team with Michelin training behind him and is able to expertly design a menu with ingredients and courses that compliment each other superbly. Each course was constructed beautifully on the plate and served professionally, yet in a friendly manner, by a team of smiling young girls who are only to happy to help. From the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave you cannot feel anything but the relaxing feeling you, until now, could only get in your own home. The Olive Tree Restaurant is the secret gem of Chester and arguable the best restaurant in the North West, that I would recommend to anyone wanting a fine-dinning experience to remember!
