Oliver’s Restaurant and Fagin’s Wine Bar is a family run business at Penketh, near Warrington. The stylish Mediterranean menu has an extensive a la carte selection. Expect starters such as Scallops with pea puree and seafood bon bon and their famous Chicken liver pate with apple and port chutney and toasted ciabatta bread and mains like Duck Duo, roasted duck and confit leg with mixed roasted vegetables and rosemary potatoes and Monkfish wrapped with pancetta and served with mixed vegetables, saffron crushed potato and pea puree. There’s also a range of steaks and pastas and some delicious desserts. Fagin’s Wine Bar has a wide selection of wines, champagnes, cocktails and mocktails as well as speciality gins, whiskies and vodkas. Both the restaurant and wine bar are open every day from 12 noon until late. There is also regular live music.
