We are regular customers at the Orathai Wrea Green. the food is always freshly prepared, the vastness of the menu leaving you uncertain as to which dish to go for (although i do recommend the sesame beef) the staff are always attentive asnd very friendly and the £5.00 curry nights wed/thur all year round make it cheaper to eat there than to cook your own at home...

Went to this Thai restaurant last weekend. We'd read the great reviews on here so decided to take a couple of friends there with is. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant itself is rather like somebody's front room and a bit dated but coupled with the front of house waiter, this just added to the charm. The food was lovely. My husband is vegetarian and a fresh tofu red curry was made for him, we all opted for various curries, all of which were delicious! I'd highly recommend the restaurant.

The welcome, service and best of all the great food will always make you want to return for more to this fabulous Thai restaurant.
We live a 70 mile round trip away from Orathai but it's well worth the visit and never disappoints.

I have been using this restaurant for about 15 years or more and have to say the latest owners are doing an amazing job and the food is fantastic! We spent NY eve 2008 here and had a great evening and made to feel very welcome as always. You must try the Lamb Massaman....simply amazing!

Went last Saturday night with my wife on the recommendation of our son, it's not the type of cuisine we would normally consider but am glad we did. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent if rather slow in coming which didn't bother us as we were in no hurry. Will definitely go again!

We have been regulars to the Sawatadee before it changed hands. I must say it was excellent before and still is. There are a few Thai restaurants around in the area but this one is the best. The man that runs the front of house is lovely so friendly and remembers us every time we come. A must to try is the Satays and the Orathai bites. Also the Green and Red curry are good to try for a main course. A must visit if you are in the area and like good food with nice staff.

I've been, on & off, to this restaurant for approx 7 years. I've been 3 times since the change of owners. The current owner is very friendly, always polite &, amazingly, remembered us when we went for the 2nd time after a 10 month interval! Both my wife & myself are strict vegetarians, which usually means the menu is very limited in most Thai restaurants; however the owner really goes out of his way to even suggest dishes that are not on the menu that are suitable to us. We've always been impressed by the quality of food, which is superb. If you've been trying to find a great Thai restaurant & haven't as yet, I'd strongly recommend giving this one a go.

As a regular visitor to the sawatdee we were sceptical first visiting after the new owners took over! But the food is still fantastic and the owner is very friendly and chatty. If you havent been GO!!

Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was discrete, but had a good sense of humour. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
