I most definitely would NOT recommend this establishment, which I visited with my husband on the Bank Holiday. The women is charge was so very rude to customers that we watched several of them walk out - one young couple she followed out, telling them off for taking up too much room in a virtually empty cafe, as she went.
Such a shame - this used to be a lovely spot for a scone.

Do not eat here, it's awful and the owner is shockingly rude. I paid £3.20 for a circa 1970s school dinners style apple crumble.Yuk.
We sat outside and witnessed her bawling at a woman who'd moved a cheap plastic table so that her elderly partner in a wheelchair could access it.
I was visiting the area having last been around the mid 90s when it was a delightful place with fabulous cakes, sandwiches and mismatched olde worde china. ALL of this has changed. A comprehensive disappointment.
