I have eaten at the Pier House on special occasions, such as New Year & Valentines Day and was extremely impressed. The fish dishes particularly are superb. For the Valentines meal, I had monkfish in pancetta on a bed of cous cous with roasted red peppers & feta cheese. Absolutely beautiful! I also ordered the most wicked cointreau & chocolate roulade.The staff are really friendly & the main part of the restaurant has harbour views, although if you are seated in the bistro part, it isn't half as nice. I think that is my only criticism. I haven't tried the Sunday carvery for some years, but I am sure it will be in the same league as the a la carte menu.
