Housed in a former art gallery in Hawkshead in the picturesque heart of the Lake District, Poppi Red is a gift shop and licensed café. It’s beautifully laid out, inspired by the kind of shops owner Kim loved to get lost in during a stint spent travelling the world. You’ll find bags, cushions, beauty products, accessories, clothing, throws, blankets, rugs and much more and you can shop here online too. The café serves delicious cakes, freshly ground coffees, a selection of teas as well as a savoury menu that includes sandwiches and paninis. Poppi Red is also licensed so in the summer months you can try a glass of their famous Gin Sling made with local Damson Gin, a cold Hawkshead lager from Hawkshead Brewery, a Pimms or a glass of chilled wine. Or in winter warm up with a Baileys Coffee or a Gluhwein. Open from 9am to 6pm daily.
