I went to this restaurant on 2nd Jan 2014 with my two daughters, one visiting from Australia. It has all been said before, excellent food and service, I was persuaded to change my choice as being rather a mature lady it was thought to be to hot for me. My daughter had a mixed starter and my choice was one of the dishes, too hot it was. Wonderful surroundings. They have a licence now and the wine my daughter chose complimented the food splendidly. Highly recommend.

It was a very warm, sunny Friday. We decided to have lunch at Prashad, our favourite vegetarian restaurant in Bradford. The Patel family – Mohan, Kaushy, Bobby, Mrinal and Mayur were there, as was the smiling Imran the restaurant Manager who informed us bout the good news that he was going to be a father. We congratulated Imran and wished him all the very best for the new addition to his family. We ordered our bhel supreme; idli sambar, dudhi and chana; and puries. We had a fabulous lunch and a great afternoon.

I attended the Public Lecture of the Bradford Theosophical Society where my friend Kathy was the guest speaker. Afterwards my friends in Shipley with whom Kathy was staying for the weekend, invited me to join them for dinner in Prashad. Of course, Prashad being my favourite Indian restaurant in Bradford I accepted their invitation gladly. I chose my favourite dishes, mango lassi, papad, special chaat and masala dosa. We had a lovely time. The new venue is brilliant.

We had a visiting lecturer from New York staying at our home for the weekend. Kathy was on a short lecture tour of England and had come to Shipley to lecture at the Public Meeting of the Bradford Theosophical Society. We took her to our favourite restaurant, Prashad. Kathy had not experience Indian vegetarian cooking before. We explained the various dishes to her. We were not disappointed with our choice. Kathy was in seventh heaven and enjoyed the evening immensely. So thank you Prashad for giving us yet another great experience.

I am from New York and was on a short lecture tour of England. I was in Shipley to give a lecture to the Bradford Theosophical Society. My hosts brought me to Prashad for dinner. It was a unique experience that I am so glad that I was given this unique experience to take part in. What a delightful restaurant so tastefully decorated and set out. Then there was the food! I had not tasted such delicious dishes before. I had Mango Lopez; Mixed Vegetable pakoras; Masala Dosa; Idli Sambar; Chickpea Cholé; Mixed Vegetable Rice – dishes I had not heard of before never mind tasted. It was a heavenly dreamlike experience of flavours, textures, tastes and aromas. My hosts explained the intricacies of the various dishes and their origins in the Indian subcontinent. I was an evening to cherish.

We decided to visit Prashad at their new venue in Drighlington this lunch time, and also dine there. Mayur and Bobby Patel were there and Bobby very kindly showed us around the spacious new building with the sumptuous fittings and the very pleasing décor, all designed by the very talented Mayur. It is a brilliant creation making the whole place look spacious, airy, light and also very cosy. There is ample room for the diners to feel that they are in a relaxed, cosy and comfortable environment where they can enjoy their meal. Prashad has scored the Bull’s eye with the place and the whole concept. For our meal, we ordered Poppadoms, Bhel supreme, Utthapam, and the Manchurian Dumplings. The meal was exceptionally good. Well done Prashad for a smooth and successful transfer into your new surroundings. We realise that there was a lot of hard work involved. It has all paid off and the beautiful results are there for everyone to see, experience and enjoy. We are delighted that Prashad will continue to be our favourite, regular eating establishment in Bradford.

We decided to have lunch in Prashad this afternoon. It was an opportunity to have a meal at our favourite restaurant in Bradford at its present location before Prashad relocates to a bigger and better venue in Drighlington. It was also an opportunity to congratulate young Imran, Prashad’s innovative manager and all the staff at Prashad and wish them well in their new project. We decided to order some of our favourites: Bhel supreme; Massala Dosa, Miljuli Sabji and puris. As usual, the food was exceptionally good and consistent with Prashad’s very high standards. We look forward to making many visits to Prashad in their new venue and enjoying Prashad’s supremely delicious cuisine.

We ordered kalva; bhel supreme, utthapam; idli sambar; miljuli sabzi; jeera rice and puris. Our guest was over the moon. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal and is looking forward to future visits to Prashad.

My friends brought me to this delightful restaurant for dinner. We had a veritable feast: kalva (banana fritters) [delicious!]; bhel supreme; utthapam; idli sambar; miljuli sabzi; jeera rice and puris. The sambar was simply the tastiest sambar I had ever encountered! It was a most enjoyable evening and I shall certainly come again. Highly recommended.

We took a friend of ours back to her home in Leeds and as it was getting on to dinner time, on our way home we made our way to Prashad. The place was busy with well-pleased diners, no doubt drawn like us by Kaushy’s and Minal’s unique kitchen magic. We were very lucky to get a table for two, as we had not booked in advance! We had mixed vegetable pakoras, idli sambar, rengan and potatoes and puris. The food here seems to get better and better at each of our visits! The food and service in Prashad are simply the best in Bradford.
