This new branch of the well above average chain only opened on December and consequently on Christmas Eve we were the only patrons dining when we arrived around 1.30pm and we were the last out of the door before it closed at 5pm.There were five in our party, including two kids, and we were seated in a circular booth in the centre of the restaurant which afforded us a great view of the blue lit bar.The design/layout is excellent and the lack of any festivity/ambience was more than compensated for by the privilege of being able to enjoy our surroundings without the usual racket expected at this time of year and to savour the aroma of newness in the wood and leather that pervaded the room until of course our meals were served. The service was naturally attentive but not intrusive; the quality of the food was superb and as for value we were impressed that Prezzo were accepting Tesco Clubcard vouchers throughout December. Thus we only paid for two bottles of a lovely Chianti which was reasonably priced at £18.This venue well exceeded our expectations and we have already returned once for a much less extravagant lunch which was equally enjoyable. We're very pleased that we no longer have to traipse out to Media City to enjoy some quality Italian fayre.
