We went there 4th March 2011, and it was absolutely lovely.. the place is cosy, but the food and staff were amazing, we even had to ask for more bread to mop up our langoustine bisque which was so good we just couldn't let what was left on our plates go back to the kitchen, dessert was to die for aswell, all in all will defo go back there if we're in that neck of the woods again.

After reading previous recommendations I was really looking forward to eating at Puschka.
On arrival I was pleased by the warm ambience and was greeted by a pleasant member of staff. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended because the food hugely disappointing.
When I eat out, I like to be a little surprised by the food I receive. Restaurant food doesn’t have to spectacular but it should at least show a little imagination and be above what I could create myself given 5 minutes and a bag of vegetables.
For starters my partner ordered an asparagus dish which sounded fantastic, on arrival it consisted of 4 strands of overcooked vegetable with a soft boiled egg on top. My own starter was described as sea bass fillet with chilli and lemon dressing, when it arrived I thought I’d ordered a vegetarian dish, a small portion of unflavoured onions and coriander mixed in with flakes of something fishy hardly describes fillet. Both main courses were equally uninspiring and the meat on both, despite a request for medium cook was the wrong side of nuked. Top this with a cost of £57 and you’ll leave feeling disappointed. I left thinking well it was June the 11th, it was the opening game for England against the USA in the World Cup, maybe the chef had bunked off to the pub, come to think of it, wish I’d done the same.
Sorry for this review, Puschka you need to up your game people don't want to arrive hungry, leave hungry, loose £57 in the process.

Maybe not the fastest but certainly excellent food both in terms of taste and presentation. Highly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Lighthearted and fun rather than discreet and romantic.

Can I just thank everyone at Pushka for a fantastic night and great food. Me and my wife had three courses and the food was fantastic so top marks to the chef. I would also like to say how good the waiter Matt was. He sat down and explained all the specials and it was nice to see how much he knew about each dish so thanks Matt.
All in all i would tell everyone i know to visit and mark it 10/10
Thanks Pushka

Great little restaurant, service was great for such a small cute place. Recommend booking as by half8pm the place was packed out with people waiting for tables aswell.
For 2 people for 3 courses it was £70 with wine and nibbles too. All in all good value and duck was beautiful.
House red was great too.

We have eaten at Puschka several times and each time the food and service has been second to none. Best place to eat in Liverpool without a doubt.

Took a risk and booked my mum's 70th birthday party at Puschka, just of the reviews on various websites. Well the risk paid off and then some!! All party goers thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Food and staff were excellent, they were very flexible in creating a set menu, and added a beautiful touch of letting me choose a title to the menu, so that everyone could take the printed menu away with them as a keepsake. The restaurant is of a nice size, intimate but not small, with well dressed tables and lovely décor. I will definitely be going back and many of the party goers said the same thing (varying ages). The prices on the menu are reasonable and value for money for the good food and service you will receive.

Whilst attending an exhibition in Liverpool myself and a colleague visited Puska following a recommendation. The food was outstanding, beautifully thought out, cooked and prepared to perfection (My chicken liver and date starter was an outstanding piece of cooking, and my duck and marinated fig main was gamey and delicious). The food was only surpassed by the fantastic welcome that we received from the restaurant team and their friends that were dining on the table next to us. I haven't stopped recommending it to other people at the exhibition. Thanks Guy's, an absolutely great night out.

July 08 - Yet again another superb evening at Pushka. Food excellent, staff extremely pleasant and accommodating and atmosphere perfect. We have eaten at Pushka a couple of times a year since it opened and have never been disappointed. We book for very special occasions and when we have visitors to the city. Keep it up.

My favourite restaurant in Liverpool! The food is always gorgeous and the staff are lovely. Love the pink decor and intimate atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic evening.
