Red light,Thought it was something else,Cold and unwelcoming just like the staff and the postage stamp beer garden reminds me of the old saying ,No room to swing a cat,What's happening (Que Pass),,,,_Nothing

This is the 2nd time iv post on this website regarding que pasa cantina. The 1st was a 10 out of 10 review however I'm sad to say I can not say the same again this time. My wife and have been many times and for a long time it was fortnightly night out for us. The 1at time we went we met the manager. A lovely young man who was absolutely outstanding I could not praise him enough. My wife and I were sad to hear that he left in early January as he always recognised us and always made sure we were well looked after and that there was a table for us no matter how busy they were. After he left things seemed to change altho the service was still good and the food was excellent there was something not the same. Slowly we noticed lapses in service and standards a prime example being when a woman in her late 40's early 50's with dark hair sat us took our drinks order. Are drinks took over 20minutes to arrive. After which we had to wait a further 20minutes for a food order to be taken despite telling our server we were ready to order when she brought our drinks over. The woman completely ignored us and walked off. When are food did arrive it was wrong. My wife has an intolerance to sour cream thus we asked for our nachos to be without sour cream. When we raised this with our server she quickly took the nachos away and they were replaced. We didn't think anything of it as mistakes do happen. But we were.shocked to find that my wifes burrito to be covered in sour cream. We raised this with our server who said we hadn't explained my wifes intolerance to sour cream. The food was replaced by which point we felt our night had been marred by the incompetance of our server.nt only did she gt our food wrong bt she kept bringing us drinks we did not order or the wrong drinks. After paying our bill in FULL we decided to leave. On my way out I decide I want to speak to the manager and asked the lad behind the bar who pointed over my shoulder at the woman who had served us. All I can say is what a joke. Will not be returning anytime soon and we now both understand que pasa's decline. What a shame!!

This is the best South American restaurant in town. We spent a lovely evening here for my daughters birthday. We booked in advance and were seated in the restaurant upstairs which is cosy and vibrant (the ground floor is more of a bar/bistro affair and great for margaritas as we found out later!). All of our party of 8 found the food delicious, the service excellent and we will definitely be coming back again soon. 10 out of 10 to all at Que Pasa Cantina.

What a great little restaurant. The food is amazing and the portions are excellent. The service was spot on. We went in a couple of weeks ago and met the manager, very polite young man who went out of his way to make sure our night was perfect. 10 out 0f 10 without a doubt. We look forward to returning soon!!

Hi I have wrote two letters to this restaurant and have not heard a thing. I have also rang twice and asked whether the manager would ring me back but to no avail. I had a meal there about 4 months ago , they had a leak whilst we were there, o.k these things happen but we had to sit there whilst plummers tried to sort the problem out. We had to listen to him drilling full belt, we were expected to carry on and enjoy our meal personally i found it really stressful, no one from management came to our table, we had to ask what was going on, other people were also not happy. It's a shame as the food was quite nice just very poor management. I just think it is so rude not to answer my calls and reply to my letters. I am not after a freebie just would of been nice to been acknowledged. Stick With the Mexican Tavern for overall good food and service cheers joe

We ate recently at the Que Pasa and took advantage of their midweek meal deal. The house white wine is excellent and this was free as we had two courses each. The portion sizes are great if you love your food. Nacho's to start we shared and then I had the special homemade burger which was scrummy and partner had the monkfish Which he happily announced was superb. Dessert was divine. It was the house apple pie special. It was quiet for a Monday night but that suited us nicely for celebrating our anniversary.

My family and i have regularly dined in Que Pasa over the last year or so.With the exception of a few minor hiccups,we were pretty pleased with the overall experience. However,on the last 2-3 visits,we were shocked by the decline in the quality of the service, and the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. It is disappointing as the quality of the food is of a high standard, and it is clear that a great deal of time and effort has went into every dish.Unfortunately, like so many restaurants on the Lark Lane strip,Que Pasa feels that it would benefit more from a pub atmosphere.Upon entering the "restaurant",one cannot help but be overwhelmed by the congregation of people at the door. And although the smoking ban has helped to alleviate ones sense of claustrophobia, the scramble to be noticed would deter anyone from entering.

We were informed that there was and never has been a childrens or 'Little Gringos' menu and there was no possibility of a smaller sized portion for our 9 year old. This was disappointing and in fact we thought the starters were generous but the main course portion sizes were small for the price so we could have been advised on a suitable combination. No drinks service was forthcoming so we had to fetch our own from the bar. Also after making a choice from the tequila menu we were told they only had 2 types in, one of which wasn't on the menu.
However the food itself was lovely and the ambiance great even on a Monday night. We had a nice time for a birthday meal but felt that there could be more flexibility for kids/lighter eaters.

The chowder was excellent and the ribs were unbelievably tender. My partner had nachos and a vegetarian (sorry can't remember which one) both of which she enjoyed. The voucher we printed for free wine was very good value. My only complaint was that despite booking we were sat in a smokey and noisy area of the bar and not the restaurant, I wasn't happy since my partner was pregnant, but they were full and I was hungry. I think they should have asked during the booking if it was smoking or non-smoking. I felt we were eating restaurant food in a pub. will still go back though as the food really is very good and next time I will make sure i get a non-smoking table upstairs!
