The Queen Adelaide is a Grade II listed building that retains many of its original features, including a beautiful central bar which both dominates and shapes the whole interior. Since its refurbishment in December 2008 The Adelaide has been converted into a 'gastro' pub, complete with open kitchen and dining room to the rear where an impressive feature chandelier sets the tone and is accentuated by wood panelling, a domed fireplace and retro wallpaper. This theme is continued throughout the open plan building although floor-to-ceiling wooden doors can be closed to provide privacy in the dining room. Expect an exciting range of British and modern European dishes with Sunday Lunch a real favourite.
