The Queen’s Head at Great Whittington is Northumberland's oldest coaching inn built in 1701. It's an attractive, stone-built village pub, with open inglenook fires and beamed ceiling. Prior to its reopening in June 2022, the pub was given a light facelift and has an airy feel with a modern twist, whilst maintaining the traditional atmosphere. Snacks and meals are served in the bar, the spacious restaurant and the beautiful garden and you can expect traditional good pub food at the core of the menu along with chef-led daily specials. All produce (wherever possible) is sourced within the North East. The Queen’s Head is Beer Marque and Cask Marque accredited with guest ales from both big and small names. The wine list is built with similar care and quality focusing on a more traditional 'old world’ led offering. As all food is prepared fresh to order, allergy or dietary requirements can be catered for but advance notice is asked for to ensure the utmost attention and quality is provided.
