We ate at this restaurant on Friday 6th Mar. We started the meal with a couple of cocktails which were expertly made. We then ordered our starters of Mussels for him and oysters for me. The mussels came in a tomato and chorizo broth that was very rich and packed full of flavour, the oysters were served on ice with a shallot vinegar and sweet chilli, both were very tasty. For main course, I ordered the cod and he ordered the Seabass. The cod came with a Lobster velouté, medley of steamed greens, soft poached egg + sourdough croutons and was cooked perfectly, the sea bass came with Smoked bacon lardons, tomato, white wine, basil, garlic concasse, tiger prawns + chargrilled asparagus and again fantastic, the mains came with Dophinoise potatoes to share.
This was all washed down with a good Sauvignion and then followed with another couple of cocktails.....hic!
We were not rushed at all throughout and the staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be making a return visit soon

Went for my husbands birthday. Had 3 courses, the food was delicious, staff very helpful and friendly. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant

I went there a few weeks ago on the recommendation by a friend. Went with my partner, and had a starter, main meal and a bottle of wine! The wine menu was extensive, with a great choice. The food was out of this world. I think Lancaster is quite limited in great places to eat, but QSF I think will become one of our regular haunts. It was small but cosy - that said, we went mid week, I would imagine it being too cosy at the weekend. The service was excellent, the food was a little slow at coming to the table, as someone has already stated, but then, food should be cooked with care and attention, not rushed. Can't wait to return!

The surroundings are very nice and inviting. However the restaurant is let down by a limited menu and extremely slow service. Although the food was good we waited just over one and a half hours to get our mains.

Have eaten there twice now and each time have not been disappointed. French chefs cooking in real french style - very enjoyable with a pleasant atmosphere. House wine very reasonable and palatable. A good evening.

Always a quality experience, excellent food, wine and service at a reasonable price. Visited many times and yet to have anything less than an enjoyable time

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful, and it is excellent value if you opt of the early bird option which makes starters and deserts half price and main courses £6. Means extra money left over to spend on the old vino. The Simply Squiffy on a Sunday and Monday night is also very good, 3 courses and a bottle of wine each for £15...that's if you can get in, it is very popular.

A lovely place to go for a special occasion. Great atmosphere and delicious food. If you're strapped for cash, they do an 'early-birds' offer which greatly reduces the cost.

Gt ambience----lovely friendly service,& nice location. A Very good venue for fish addicts----if you dont like fish, choice is a little restricted. Not cheap, however good value.A definite recommendation.
