Dartmouth is bursting with fantastic restaurants but this is one of our favourites (sadly I'm not a Dartmothian - yet! - but we visit as regularly as possible and this is our old haunt). RBs perhaps lacks the charm of some of the other local restaurants from the outside, but trust me it is well worth a visit. The food is fantastic. They serve one of the best steak dinners I've ever had and because of this I've ordered it regularly. We visited again last week and I decided to go for the butternut squash, almond and parmesan starter, followed by a lamb shank with herb mash and purple sprouting broccoli. Both were superb. Admittedly several new restaurants have opened in Dartmouth since RBs became our favourite so we do need to check a few others out - it's hard to resist your favourite though isn't it.
