On the 6/05/11 I visited Restaurant 141 in West Didsbury. When i first came in the atmosphere was really bright and friendly and the view was AMAZING!!. But i absolutely hated the food. This is what I ordered. For the starter I ordered Lentil and Vegetable soup it tasted terrible very spicy and you could taste the cornflour. For the main I got Mediterranean Vegetables with Goats-cheese and that did not meet to my acquired taste. Finally I got Apple and Raspberry Crumble which was very nice with the cream. So overall the food was terrible but the atmosphere was great.

I was really impressed with Restaurant 141, the food was amazing, like you might see on MasterChef! They did little twists on things that I thought were really clever, the steak and kidney pie (done differently) was a steak with a minature kidney pie on top, really tasty. The atmosphere and decor are great, you don't feel like you are in a training restaurant, but because you are; the prices are really cheap. I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends.

Last week I went to the restaurant 141 in West Didsbury. Its situated in the Fielden Campus of The Manchester College on Barlow Moor Road. Once inside the restaurant I wasn't aware that I was in a training restaurant, although a limited choice, only 2 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts, the food was outstanding. Its a set price of £15.95 for a three course meal, and it is worth every penny, I would happily pay £40+ for the same meal in a restaurant. The restaurant itself also has amazing views of South Manchester and a nice friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!
