By far our favourite restaurant in Leeds!! Excellent friendly service in a building with one of the best views in the city. Steaks are always beautifully cooked. The real deal!!

Very, very impressed with this place. The steaks were cooked perfectly (anyone who can do a fillet well done and not burn it is a genius) and the baked brie and chocolate fudge cake were delicious. Service was also excellent and attentive. Would definitely come again.

Very much impressed by the new menu - nice to see some new starters (and that the baked brie is finally listed) and some interesting new mains. Tried the T-bone steak which was, as usual, perfectly cooked and delicious. Will be returning to try the spicy beef pie.

This was the best meal I have had in a long time!!! The range of starters was great-something for all of my fussy family members to feast on!! And the steaks were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Honestly, the best steak I have eaten in my life, and all of the table agreed. The wine list was also perfect, the restaurant was busy and the atmosphere friendly. Beautiful service, from very good looking staff! We'll be back very soon. x

To turn up at a NEW restaurant at 8.45pm to be greeted by a large party leaving the restaurant complaining that the restaurant is no longer serving was a surprise? To speak to front of house and be informed that the restaurant was quiet and that that they stopped serving at 7.45pm was unbelievable whilst other venues in the area at this time were packed.Don't waste your time on this place, there's better out there.

I have been twice now first time was ok steak wasn't amazing being a steak lover i have had better. Recently went for a friends birthday, not only did they ignore her dairy/wheat allergies and cause her to be really ill, they didn't deal with it very well the waiter was rude, the manager unapologetic. Then to make it worse they took our reserved area away in karma lounge which we had booked for after the meal and told us we wasn't welcome anymore. We felt we dealt with it in a diplomatic way and was never rude but they just didn't want to know and told us that no one else had complained. Hard to believe with the service we received, ruined a good friends birthday.

We visited River Plate on a Friday evening, the place wasn't that busy. We ordered our wine and our starters, the wine failed to arrive and we had to remind the waitress that we'd ordered it. In fact we had 3 different waiters/ waitresses throughout the evening. The food wasn't spectacular, though their Roquefort sauce was. The steaks were expensive and one wasn't cooked to our specification. The atmosphere was good, but the smoke was off putting (granted its because of how they cook the steaks, but it wasn't great). Overall not impressed at all, and the party agreed that we won't be going back again.

I was very impressed with this place, both in terms of food and service. The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked - the waiter even came back to make sure they had been cooked to our specifications. Atmosphere was good too - we had a lovely waterfront view from our table. My only slight criticism would be that the starters were a bit limited, but I would still definitely come here again.
