About Rosa’s Thai Cafe
Husband-and-wife team Saiphin and Alex launched Rosa’s Thai Café from a market stall on Brick Lane in 2006. Today the Thai casual dining group has 15 venues spread across London and has opened its first venture outside the capital on Liverpool’s Albert Dock - with a Leeds branch next up. Rosa’s was born out of founder Saiphin’s passion for authentic Thai food, nurtured first on her family’s mountain farm in northern Thailand and later working in Hong Kong where she met husband Alex. The new Liverpool venue is housed over two floors within a Grade I listed former warehouse on Albert Dock. It’s full of character with the original open brickwork, huge arches overlooking the water, a theatre kitchen and a mezzanine space perfect for private events and functions. The menus at Rosa’s have been inspired by Saiphin’s own family recipes and she still finds time to work in the kitchens and develop new dishes.
