This place has a huge menu selection and whilst this is nice, it may detract them from producing top grade food all of the time.
I live just down the road from this place and frequently go on a Friday night for fish and chips and a couple of pints. Arrive before the rush at 6pm say, and you'll be seated fed and watered in no time at all.
The staff are well trained and Chrissy (owner) and Jane (daughter) have always looked after us very well indeed.
I don't smoke, but for those that do...they have an outside covered area with overhead heaters.
The decor is cosy with many lit candles...ideal for a romantic steak and chips meal!
The garden in the Summer is perfect also with access into the pub front and back.
I gather that there has been a drinking house on this site for a couple of hundred years.
